Husqvarna was founded in 1689 as a weapons factory in Huskvarna, Sweden. This makes it one of the oldest companies in the world and is likely why the logo is a gunsight. Husqvarna began manufacturing motorcycles in 1903.

Steve McQueen of the film "On Any Sunday" is famous for riding Husqvarna dirt bikes and even appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated with one.
